About

For our fifth game project at TGA we were tasked with making a short “point and click” game inspired by “The Room” that took place in a laboratory in the 40s and the player had to send an urgent message. We had to make it in our game engine which only had the basics of graphics rendering. No asset handling or fancy tools or interface to help us make the game. So we split up into different groups, people who worked on tools and asset handling, one who worked on the graphics rendering, one who worked on the level importer from Unreal Engine and then there was me and another guy who worked on gameplay whilst in the middle of it. I got to work on the movement and on features for animations in the engine such as an easy and simple way to add animations to a mesh and change them in runtime. The game came out quite good for what little time we had and we had a lot of fun making it.
