Dungeon Miner
About
Dungeon Miner was a game that I made a year before when I started my studies at TGA but I never came around to finishing it. Until I got back to it and decided to finish and release it.
The game was a fusion between “Candy Crush” and a Rogue-Like just like “The Binding of Isaac” which I was really into at the time, I also played a lot of Dnd at that period, so I knew that I wanted to have a fantasy setting and a lot of references in the game. The game consists of matching gems in a randomly generated level till you meet a score and you can move on to another level. In each level there also spawns a chest and a key and if you’re lucky enough and match them together you’ll get a random item in your inventory that you can use throughout your playthrough.
I wanted to add a lot of more elements to the game such as alternative paths, puzzles, combat, and shops but I never got the time to do it and have currently lost the project. But since I started this project I have grown a lot and gotten better at making games so if I ever get the time, I’m surely gonna remake this game because I love this idea.
The sole reason I made this game was because I’ve heard that when you apply for King you’ll be tasked to recreate “Candy Crush” in a set amount of time so I wanted to try to see if I had it in me.
